Is the tallest peak in Karnataka. Mullayanagiri is located in the Baba Budan Giri Range of the Western Ghats. With a height of 1,930 metres (6,330 ft), it is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris after chembra peak (2100 m),banaura peak(2073m),and vellari mala(2339m) of wayanad district of kerala.

From the top of Mullayangiri you will get excellent views of the Chikmaglur town, and can clearly see how far Chikmaglur spreads. This 1930 meters tall peak can be reached by foot, by motorbike or car from the city. Travellers can also find at the top of the hill a temple one of the old temples of Chikmagalur. Visitors had to climb nearly 1000 steps to reach this temple.

On the way we can also visit Sithallayyangiri, Seethala contains a ‘matha’ and the dual shrine temple of ‘Seethala-Mallikarjuna’.
