Located about 20 kms from Kudremukh sharing border with Dakshina Kannada district. The magnificient cone shaped rock face cliff derives its name from Kurinji flower Strobilanthes kunthiana. Neelakurinji.The shrub that is found in the shola forests of the Western Ghats in South India. The purplish blue flowers of Neelakurinji blossoms gregariously only once in 12 years.
